We have six chickens and six ducks, and anyone who has had ducks knows how messy and stinky they can be. A person can scoop and muck out the coop, and the smell is always there no matter how clean you keep it. I've tried other products and have found that lime helps, but it is caustic to the skin and lungs, so it's not something I like to use. I thought I'd try Spanielbuns Chicken Coop Refresher made of Zeolite. After reading about natural zeolite, I learned it is used as an absorbent, drying agent, and air purifier. Everything needed to freshen a stinky chicken coop, and that's what this product did. I removed the old, wet hay from the boxes and floor, let the coop air dry briefly, sprinkled a thin layer of Spanielbuns Chicken Coop Refresher on the moist areas, then covered it with a fresh layer of hay. It didn't take much Zeolite; I possibly used a pound out of the twenty in the bag. At this rate, I should have enough refresher to last through the summer - that's a great value . It performed better than anything I've ever used before, and it doesn't get any easier to use - sprinkle it where needed. I'll be ordering more once this is gone.
